Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has confirmed that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu will attend this year’s Argungu Fisheries Festival.

The governor made this known in Birnin Kebbi, where he said the festival continues to attract dignitaries and leaders from different parts of Africa.

According to the governor, the event to be held on Saturday will be a special occasion for the people of the state, as the President will be launching some projects and attending the event.

I assure the people of Kebbi that the President will be coming to our state this week to launch projects and attend the fisheries festival. This is an opportunity for our people, he said.

He called on the people of the state to come out in large numbers to welcome the President on Saturday.

The 61st Argungu Fisheries Festival will run for four days from Wednesday to Saturday.

In his remarks, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, apologized to the public for the closure of some roads in Birnin Kebbi and Argungu town on Saturday for security reasons and the conduct of the festival.
